Eyebrow Microblading
Microblading is a technique in which a small tool made of several tiny needles, that make up a small disposable blade, is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin.
Each hair stroke is created by hand using a blade, typically used to enhance or reshape eyebrows’ appearance in terms of color and shape. One treatment lasts for 1-2 years. A touch-up session is encouraged in 6 weeks after the first procedure.
Microblading is best for those people who want to correct or reconstruct lost eyebrows, thinning brows or who want to improve their eyebrows with a natural graceful appeal.
Sometimes it is also called “feather touch” or “micro-stroking.”
Skincare after Microblading
- Taking care of that skin area where Microblading took place is similar to tattoo care if a bit more intensive.
- The pigment immediately after the procedure will appear quite dark, and the bottom skin will be red.
- About two hours of Microblading, you should run a wet cotton swab that has been dipped in sterilized water over the area. This will remove any excess dye that’s on your brows & it will also keep the area aseptic.
- It will take anywhere from 7-14 days for the skin to begin to appear healed and for the pigment to fade to its regular shade.
Post Treatment Care
- Don’t let your face getting wet during the shower for up to 10 days
- Don’t use make up for at least a week as pigments are still settling into the shallow cuts of your skin caused by blading
- Avoid swimming, and excessive sweating until the area is completely healed and you have a follow-up appointment.
- Keep your hair away from your brow line.
- Apply medicated cream or healing balm as prescribed by your technician.
